Is Sliplap free to play?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The whole game is free — every circuit, every mode, online multiplayer and the leaderboards. There is no download and no account required. One optional purchase exists, Premium at $3 a month, which unlocks racing friends' and record holders' ghosts, challenges and a badge beside your name, and it changes nothing about the car.

Can I play Sliplap with friends online?

Yes. Create a room, share the four-character code, and up to five players race together on the same circuit. An authoritative server keeps every car in the same place for everyone.

Do I need to download or install anything?

Accepted Answer

No. Sliplap runs entirely in the browser using WebGL. It works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on desktop and on mobile.

How long is a race in Sliplap?

Accepted Answer

Two to four minutes, depending on the circuit. Sunset Mile is four laps in about 2:06; Albion is two laps of a 5.9 km lap in about 3:38. Every race is short enough to rematch immediately.

What are the controls?

Accepted Answer

Four: throttle, brake, left and right, plus an instant reset. The physics underneath are Formula-1-inspired — downforce, weight transfer, load-sensitive tyres and slipstream — but you understand the controls in about four seconds.
